The Best Layered Salad

┬áThis has been my kids favorite salad for years and I love it because I can put it together, stick it in the fridge and forget about it until it’s time to serve dinner. I try to make it the night before because the flavor intensifies but 4 to 6 hours will do the trick.

Ingredients:

head lettuce chopped
1/2 red onion finely chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs hard boiled and sliced
1 small pkg frozen peas
1 envelope Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix
1 cup mayonnaise
4 slices of bacon cooked and chopped

Directions:

Put frozen peas in the bottom of a large glass salad bowl. Layer onion, cheese , eggs and lettuce.

Mix mayo and dressing mix until smooth, spread over the top of the lettuce.Top with chopped bacon. Cover tightly and store in fridge for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

 

Serves: 8
