Ingredients

  • FROSTING INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 8 oz. packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup seedless strawberry jam
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • CAKE INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 white cake mix prepared according to directions
  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 1/4 cup fresh strawberries sliced

Method

Step 1

Prepare the frosting, set aside.

Step 2

Bake your cake in three 8 inch cake pans OR one 9x13 pan at 350 degrees, let cool completely.

Step 3

With a serrated knife, carefully slice the cakes in half and start the layering process:

Cake, 2 TBSP. jam, 3/4 cup frosting, 1/4 cup strawberries.

Step 5

Frost the top and sides of cake with remaining frosting. Take a little extra strawberry jam and swirl it over the top and sides for a decorative touch.
