Frosting:
2 8 oz. packages cream cheese
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup seedless strawberry jam
3/4 cup heavy cream
Cake:
1 white cake mix prepared according to directions
3/4 cup strawberry jam
2 1/4 cup fresh strawberries sliced
Instructions:
Prepare the frosting, set aside.
Bake your cake in three 8 inch cake pans OR one 9×13 pan at 350 degrees, let cool completely.
With a serrated knife, carefully slice the cakes in half and start the layering process:
Cake, 2 TBSP. jam, 3/4 cup frosting, 1/4 cup strawberries.
Frost the top and sides of cake with remaining frosting. Take a little extra strawberry jam and swirl it over the top and sides for a decorative touch.
